In July 2017 eleven Scouts from across Wiltshire will be joining other scouts from Hertfordshire, Newcastle Under Lyme and Suffolk in an international Expedition to South Africa to work alongside scouts from Mafikeng and Lesotho to working with Charities in impoverish areas to improve the quality of life for Vulnerable and orphaned young children. Whilst their they will be undertaking project at the Scout Centre of Excellence for Nature and environment (SCENE) http://www.scouting.org.za/scene/, then moving to Limpopo to work alongside the charity The Lonely Road foundation http://www.thelonelyroad.org/ then finally moving to Lesotho and spending time working alongside Sentebale http://sentebale.org/ this charity maybe known to some of you as this is charity was founded by Prince Seeiso and Prince Harry during his gab year. Although they will be working very hard they will have the opportunity to have some amazing and educational R&R taking in the sights of Pilannesburg game reserve, dragon boating, pony trekking, the cradle of human kind and the apartheid museum.
